SUMMARY:November Annual Holiday Potluck
DESCRIPTION:Our holiday potluck is always a fun event! Each family brings a gluten-free side dish – salads\, veggies\, or desserts – to serve 8-10 people. We ask that you bring a list of ingredients for your dish so that those with other allergies can make sure they can have some of your dish. It would be even better if you could bring copies of the recipe to share with the group. That is a good way to expand your gluten-free holiday recipes. \nWe still need two more people to roast a turkey and carve it to serve easily from a crock pot. If you can help out with a turkey\, please call Carol Ann Baily at 615-478-9998 to volunteer. \nThis will be our first holiday potluck in our new location at Westminster Presbyterian Church\, 3900 West End Ave\, 37205. To get to the church\, come to West End Ave. from any direction\, between Woodmont to the west and I-440 to the east. Then turn north on Mayfair Ave. The room entrance is on the right. Goodpasture Hall is our meeting room\, located on the lower level of the building. There is a ramp leading down to the door to our room from the sidewalk. We will have signs up near the ramp so you can tell where to go in. There are several disabled parking places near that doorway. Across the street\, there is a parking lot with plenty of room for everyone.

SUMMARY:Mangia Nashville: Gluten Free Dining Club Meetup

You can order whatever you want from the menu and explore the various possibilities for yourselves. Just let us know that you will be able to join us on Thursday evening\, May 24. Come join the group for a fun evening of great gluten free Italian! \nSee below for address. Located just off the corner of Franklin Rd and Craighead.

SUMMARY:Dinner at Chateau West!
DESCRIPTION:We are planning another dinner club event for our Celiac Support Chapter. We will celebrate French Independence day a little late\, but with a lovely French dinner at Chateau West at 3408 West End Ave. on Sunday\, July 24th at 7:00 pm. The chef at Chateau West will be able to provide menu items from their regular menu adapted slightly to accommodate our need for a gluten-free meal. \nFor appetizers\, you could select shrimp saffron\, foie gras\, or beef tartare. Salads such as the beet and goat cheese\, the caesar\, or the spinach and warm bacon can be adapted for our needs. The main course could be salmon\, duck breast\, filet mignon\, or pork chops. Even for dessert we have a choice of crème brulée or a flourless chocolate torte called chocolate moulleux. You can select as many courses as you want from the regular menu and they will adapt those items listed here for us. \nIt can be an expensive meal if you select several courses\, but it will be delightful to experience a true French meal with no worries about gluten. You can also limit your choice to a salad and appetizer or to just the main course\, if you want to economize and still participate in this culinary exploration into the world of French cuisine. \nPlease RSVP to Carol Ann Baily\, carolannbaily@gmail.com\, with your name\, cell phone number and number in your party.

SUMMARY:April Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Our program will focus on the ingredients containing gluten found in common body products such as shampoo\, conditioner\, lotions\, as well as cosmetics. You will learn what to look for on the products on your shelves to see if they contain gluten. Since the skin is the largest organ of your body\, it can absorb gluten. Plus\, if you touch your mouth or eyes when your hands have been using these products\, you can ingest the gluten that you are avoiding in food. Plan to come see how you can eliminate this second source of gluten in your life.
